Chambray came in a few seasons ago and really has stayed put. I don’t know how it has taken me so long to purchase a chambray shirt, but I broke down and found a very cute, but inexpensive one at Target…(true story… Target).
Here are my two favorite ~ but unconventional ways to wear it.. paired with a couple of my favorite trends for S/S 2014.
#1 – Denim on Denim.
This may be a little early 90s, but the trend is back. Although a little intimidating… it can be done very simply. The catch is… don’t match denim exactly ~ BUT don’t wear complete opposite denims either (i.e. an indigo piece with an acid wash piece). Here I simply pared it with a pair of super casual cutoffs, my white converse, and the other “trend” item ~ ‘Colored Lensed Sunglasses’ ~( all the cool kids are wearing them… and naturally I want to be cool, even if I feel like I look like a wannabe surfer from the 80s).
